As a widow and a single mother who came to the U.S. from Ukraine, I faced many challenges adjusting to a new life. The Family Relief Program provided me with life-changing psychological support through educational trauma recovery educational classes led by Yulia Kirk. These classes helped me regain strength, cope with my grief, and start a new chapter for myself and my child. I can’t thank this program enough for giving me hope and helping me feel at home in this country.
Sofia ProtopenkoThe Family Relief was instrumental in helping my family adjust to the life in the U.S. FRP guided us to free educational programs, including tutoring and English classes for our children, which were critical for their success in school. FRP also helped us find a great public school and enroll in a free after-school program. Thanks to this program, my children are thriving, and we feel more settled in our new home.
Aleksandr and Olena FormekoI met Yulia Kirk at a Family Relief picnic, where I received personal counseling that changed my life. Before this, I struggled with finding a motivation and didn’t see a future for my family in this country. With FRP support and the support groups, I found hope, direction, and a reason to keep moving forward. I now have a job and a renewed sense of purpose, and I will always be grateful for the help I received.
Oksana YacheskoAs an orphan, starting life in the United States at 18 felt overwhelming and impossible. The Family Relief was there for me from the very beginning, providing food, clothing, housing, and emotional support. Through FRP guidance, I attended free classes, gained valuable skills, and found a job that allowed me to become independent. This project gave me a chance to build a future, and I am deeply thankful for everything they have done to help me establish my life here.

I am a mother of four children, and my family recently immigrated to the United States. The Family Relief Program was a lifeline for us. FRP helped us complete all the necessary paperwork to obtain legal status, guided us through every step, and connected us with resources for housing and employment. Thanks to this program, both my husband and I found stable jobs, and we now have a safe place to call home. We are incredibly grateful for the support we received.
